Wasn't able to attend the AGM on thursday, but a couple of people have mentioned a decision on changes to the academic calendar next year.
Can anyone that attended shed some light on this please? :)

To be honest from what i recall there weren't too many changes to the calendar! Its pretty much the same as this years apart from the semesters being less broken up with holidays! The one major difference is there will be three weeks off before the summer exams (One study week then two easter)

I was referring to the previous poster, this change they're bringing in to do with the holidays is going to be A Big change. Definitely will change the face of the year.

Sully do you know which option they are likely to go with or when will that be decided?

    Option 1 was decided.

Iv no idea what the other poster is on about in terms of this big change. I can only guess it was the other option, not chosen.

I'm glad they didn't go with option 2 - don't want exams hanging over my head over Christmas!

Option A is dependent upon lecturers coming back from holidays a week earlier than what is agreed but getting their hols a week earlier. Nothing is agreed yet so option B may yet happen.

Ill double check, but I thought it was already confirmed. Thats what I thought I heard and double checked with a union staff member. Ill re-check tho.
