LOL, I'm the exact same, I will never use a yellow tee ever. No idea where it came from but I've been the same for years!

It's considered very unlucky to play with superstitious golfers. That's why I never do...

I used to consider superstitions to be a load of tosh, but since finding an old coin that I'd previously used as a marker (after a long spell without it), my putter has started behaving again. Now, I only wear odd socks, tie my left shoelace first, tap the tee marker three times, .................

I Found the lost marker in the rubber seal in the washing machine friday nite , Played the Monty course in Carton house on saturday and felt really happy knowing it was back in its rightful place...lol

The year I won the captain's prize everyone got three srixon balls that were printed up for the day. I've had one of those in the bag ever since, which is about as close to a "superstition" as I have.

I always wash my clubs before & competition. Also need to keep my clubs in numerical order in the bag. Everything neat & in its correct place. More ocd than superstition.

    33pts off 19.8

Driving ball well enough , found very little trouble off the tee

Let myself down with poor club selection for 2nd shots ( i put this down to recent swing change and still finding my ranges with my irons ) .

    Short game was fine ..

Putting wasn't great . ( i put this down to wanting to use my marker all the time ....lol )

Really should have had another 5/6 pts , Overall i was happy enough ,

I use a 1 euro coin for a marker. I always put the one facing up to reinstate that I want to 1 putt.

So in summary, your superstition didn't help at all!. I wonder why?!.

Also with the OCD- have to wash clubs directly after a round, no exceptions. Also have to co-ordinate clothes of the day with black or white golf shoes only. Which is pretty straightforward

I am just the same - all clubs have their own slot. I've even gone as far as rearranging my bag so that my water bottle, food, backup tees, etc, etc all have their rightful place.
I have a pocket for old or worn balls and another for my regular playing ones.

    Definitely a touch of OCD.

Daithi09 .. Really you could go through every players superstitions/OCD quirks and disprove them all ... But if it gives a Lad a bit of comfort thinking it works for him well then theres no need to knock it ..

Premiership footballers on 200k a week have them , Golfers earning millions a year have them ... Why not an average joe soap !!

Exact same as that - the clubs have to be washed before every round, each club has its own place in the bag (bag has 14 full length dividers) and each pocket has old balls, new balls, tees, gloves, a drink, waterproofs etc. No way would their be tees in the same pocket as balls or a drink in with gloves!
Gas thing is that it's the only aspect of my life where I am even remotely organised. Thats golf for you.
