I heard that these ADD noise. I did much research for something to help with hum & noise because my guitar has a large single coil pickup which makes it worse. I looked at all of the regular noise gates.

In the end I went for an ISP Decimator pedal. It looks ****ing cool (chrome finished!) and does the job perfectly. I compared it on and off and noticed no difference in tone, attack or decay with the pedal set to the correct level. It's simple to use and works. Pretty much a set & forget pedal.
