Money won't get you into Portmarnock, it's obviously Portmarnock Links you are referring to

Its gone down €400 or so from last year, hasn't it?

Its one place you can play 12 months of the year, unlike many of the other parklands around the the North Dublin area.

It's a great test of golf and in great condition all year but e2500 is a total tipoff in my view. Knock a grand off and people would bite your hand off for it.

Its quite a nice course alright played it once last year, but it just annoys me the way they call it portmarnock links. I know its their right to call it whatever they want but i think its a blatant attempt to con(fuse) people.

I wonder how many tourists have rocked up thinking they were getting a round on the fabled proper portmarnock GC for 60 quid and then finding out they were getting this (although decent) imposter instead.

Its like thinking you were going on a date with grainne seoigh and arriving at the restaraunt and seeing sile sitting there instead.

Not bad but its just not the same

Exactly what I think too. Take a grand off and you'll have people queuing down the street for membership. At that price it would be in line with all the others in the area, plus the fact that you can play year round. No winter rules in four years it says on their site.
