What are these bulbs called?

Hi all,

Could someone tell me what these bulbs are?

I'm trying to get my hands on HID looking ones, but don't know what their called!!

It's a small bulb located in the main beams.

I have HID's installed but these bulbs are halogen and want to replace them.

It should specify the bulbs in your cars manual. I'd look there.

I've had a look at sidelight bulbs on Ebay, came up with this:

They're LEDs, so they will look different. AFAIK, all that matters is that they have the correct connector, will fit, and have the correct resistor so they don't trip your dashboard bulb warning.

These are standard sidelight push to connect (wedge type) bulbs. Nominal value is 5W.

Just go into a motorfactors and ask for some 501's (type of bulb) also called standard capless. Dont go to halfords

A 501 or T5 wedge bulb.

These have a lovely bright white light, I installed some in my own car after upgrading to HIDs, (the side lights looked horribly yellow compared to the HIDs)

They include shipping but I haven't done a comparison to see which works out cheaper.

Thanks for the replies.

Tried motorfactors but could only get the standard bulbs.

I've ordered xexon look bulbs plus reg plate xexon bulbs for 30 including shipping so we'll see how it goes
