Ah yes, Kangaroo Island. Where you get off the ferry and are greeted by, eh, penguins!

No advice on how to get there, as I travelled from Alice Springs. Stayed on Kangaroo Island for two or three nights, on a YHA package from YHA Adelaide.

I thought it was a cool place with the penguins and wallabies almost right on your doorstep, but the bus tour around the island wasn't great. Saw plenty of kangaroos from the bus alright, and I think there was a place for spotting koalas as well.
