Where has all the water gone? From what I hear, all the water dispensers in the Biology, Chemistry and Physics department are empty. Also the library is empty too! WTF?

Is this just a ploy to get us all to buy water?

If I'm thinking of the same one, does the one in the chemistry department not get it's water from the water main? If so, then it can't be empty; there must be a problem with the mains supply if it's not working.

Thats strange. I live near by and still have fresh water through the taps and the pressure is normal.

Get onto the SU if it's not fixed by monday morning. They'll hassle buildings or whoever about it, but if they don't know about it, there's nothing they can do.

Would you not just fill up a big bottle before you leave the house?

People who buy bottled water belong in the circus

I rarely buy bottled water, just when my old bottles get worn etc.

I used to have to bring 2x750ml of water to college every day but this year I only brought one bottle in a day and refilled it. Without those, I'd be stuck.

Glad I finished my exams a month ago and dont have to be in college any more til september :-)

Was'nt there a big ploy at the start of this year to get new water taps installed all throughout campus and fix the remaining ones that have been broken. I'm not sure on how things are at the moment, but it could be due to this.

If not, email SU and they should hopfully reply with a infromed email

They had a sign up on Thursday stating that the water would be cut off from 6.30-7.30, but it stayed off right up until 10pm when I left the library. Don't know about Saturday, but I just filled up with ice cold water from the water dispenser on the first floor of the library, so I guess it's fixed.

Also, could you not have just filled up from the cold tap in the bathroom? It's not laced with urine or anything...
