I just read an article in this months irish shooters digest which gave good tips on making your own cheap shooting gear, camo clothing, game bags, priests, rifle rests etc etc.
thought it might be an idea for any members here to share their ideas and designs on such equipment.
We are all trying to beat the recession and looking for ways to save a few bob.

I knew a guy years ago who made a silencer for his .22 out of a bycycle pump and some rubber washers.
he just cut the pump to about 7 inches long and filled the tube with rubber washers with a 7mm hole in the centre, then spaced them out with springs.
the little screw part at the top of the pump was just the right size to screw onto the muzzle and because its plastic made its own thread when twisted on.
the thing was totally silent using subs.
I AM NOT SUGGESTING THAT ANYONE DO THIS WITHOUT THE PROPER PAPERWORK,,THIS WAS A LONG TIME AGO BEFORE YOU NEEDED PERMISSION TO USE ONE.
