today I got a letter from my solicitorthat i'v too go to some place called DATEC (assessment trainning and employment consultancy)its in west port.

this is to do with an accident I had in work over 2 years ago. Its a case for compensation.

Has anyone been to some thing like this.

I to bring my leaving cert and jr certs with me.

    I'm really nerves about going.

Guessing, but perhaps it is to assess what employment you 'could' do, if you are claiming your employability has been affected by damage from the accident.

It´s probably a vocational assessment. They want to assess how whatever accident you had affected your life and particularly the possibility of you finding work in the future.

Your solicitor is building a case and making sure that s/he has considered every effect your accident has had on your life, and to what extent you're able to live as "normal" a life as you would have if you had not had the accident.

They´ll just ask you a few questions, write a report and send it to your solicitor. It's a good thing, don't worry about it.
