I never realised there was over 3350 deer hunters in Ireland.
There are currently over 3,350 hunters licensed to shoot deer in the Republic of Ireland, a figure that has
risen from 2,808 in the 2005 / 06 hunting season.

It's comical to see that they want more deer shot, not less. if i was given the ok to shoot more I would.
I was always told keep your returns low??

I average one a year these days which is very low.
Largely due to the fact that my permissions are scattered and the deer are always on the wrong side of the ditch.

I want a deer for a party during the summer, I might get another section 42.
Handy yoke to have. Pitty my permission is not under the plough yet.
I can only get when he has corn:(

I had sika in my garden over the last few mornings/evenings. Herself is furious, her best camellias have been destroyed, magnolias devoured, etc. Doesn't know that I've just now put out a salt lick to keep them in the area for later.;) Got a few photos of them, 35mm, so will have to wait to develop/scan/post.

They love "cool and cooked" horse ration too.
But it also attracts rats, so maybe stick with the salt lick or a bale of hay!

By the way there is a printer out there for 35mm that prints from negatives, You should invest!
