Tag rugby seems to be a great way, but you're not sporty so might put you off, I'm sure some people will say that tag rugby isn't sport however.... :)

Ennis players seems to be good as well, it's a Drama Society.

This might help, doesn't seem overly extensive but might give you a start.

Another one worth a look through might be this one Again, can't say how much use it will be.

One thing though, forum users aren't mind readers, give us at least some indication of things you might be interested in

The Library has lots of posters advertising classes, events etc.

Also, the Clare Volunteer Centre http://www.volunteerclare.ie/index.php/about-us would lead to meeting people.

When you really get desperate, get drunk and head for the disco in the Queens....... someone's bound to get sick all over you or accuse you of stealing their respective boyfriend or girlfriend and want to take you outside to kick the head off you............ maybe its changed...........nah.......don't think so.

Normal people might try Ennis musical society and you don't even have to be able to sing. Masters swimming to just get fit at the Ennis pool or Set dancing in Cois na hAbhanna on the gort road or Lions club or Toastmasters or Soroptomists or one of them. Night classes were always good icebreakers for the winter.

Thats about as wide and varied as you'll want for a while.
