wtf is up with Ryanair and their 'sales'?

Possibley missing something myself so if I am please advise but Ryanair's latest sale (which i hate mentioning on such an active medium as boards, as all the cool places may go even quicker) say 3 yo yo one way...

This is not the case (as has always been the case in my experience with their sales).

I book now, within the booking time frame, I get an astronomical price as opposed to the €3 that it clearly states before clicking.

i do take into account taxes etc but the initial price quoted is nothing near €3.

Any ideas or are they simply taking the p?

I think it's for their more unpopular flights.
I got a flight to Edinburgh for 1c but that was because we were flying out at 6.30am. You're not going to get a flight at a decent time for a decent price but if you do you've done well!

Ok lizt but some of these flights only have one a day, cleary and absolutely within the t +c's of their 'sale'.

i had a look there, need to go to scotland in july, 40 quid for the fare plus taxes, that skyrocketed to 90 when i wanted to bring a bag and use mastercard as payment. plus its prestwick so its miles out from glasgow-have to add the price of a train/bus then aer lingus into glasgow proper is only 20 quid extra, closer and i get more baggage allowance.

I just did a random test there... picked Bristol to Valencia, and the initial price was £3 as advertised (including taxes and check in).

Several threads reported for obstinately insisting to discuss Ryanair in terms other than breathless arse-licking.

    I'm doing something wrong alright:

    Fri, 4 Jun 10

    Depart:
    Dublin 08:00
    Arrive:
    Brussels (Charleroi) 10:35
    1 x Adult 25.99 EUR

    Fare: 25.99 EUR
    Online Check-In: 5.00 EUR
    Taxes / Fees: 38.38 EUR
    Total Price: 69.37 EUR

feel free to flick through the days, weeks and show me where there is a fare for €3. The do say that flights to Brussels are when they are very clearly not. Simple as it is.

As far as i can make out from the ad, the sale is from selected airports?, Dublin not being one of these for where you want to go?.

    Forget that it is :)

For the day you want, it comes up as the same price as you got when i did it,

Say you were returning though on the 9th it is €3 for the return flight all in,

At least we found one €3 flight!!!

Dear Lord - have you people been on a rock for the past ten years:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:. They only carry so many seats at that price. When they are sold out you ahve to get more expensive seats. Pretty much all the airlines do that for the last ten years

I nabbed a €15 flight to Dublin this evening but will have to endure the Train home from the Capital as I will have to leave my passport with the Yanks in Ballsbridge! It is for fricking annoying that we don't have a National ID card to used instead of our passports even on Internal flights.
