How long to get speeding fine in post?

    Got caught speeding 2 weeks ago today. still haven't got anything in the post.
    Garda took my details on a notepad.

    Might I have gotten off??

    One thing when it does arrive, check the date on the top to make sure it isn't weeks behind only leaving you like 14 or less days to pay.

    Also don't leave it until the last min to pay if you paying by post because if you send it in about 7 days before the 28 days are up, they'll wait until they are up & return it to you to try get a bigger sum off ya.

    Two new wee tricks they have mastered!

    @ colm_mcm Did you get the letter since?

    I did a search for what I wanted to ask, but this was the closest I could find to it, but still not exactly the same...

    Does anyone know how long it should take to receive a speeding notice if you were snagged by a Gatso van?

    With all the computerisation, you expect the letter to be there when you get in the door, but I'm just wondering what the current delay time is.
