Wayne Barnes (England) Connacht Rugby and RC Toulon

Romain Poite (France) London Wasps and Cardiff Blues

What do ye think about these choices?

All great refs. But surprised Lewis or Rolland didn't get the Wasps game.

With the exception of Barnes I would be inclined to agree. Barnes made some very dodgy calls when we played France this year and I'm not a fan.

Rolland is one of the best refs in the business IMO...it is strange that they have overlooked him in this case.

Just thank god! Munster avoid Poite.

Rolland probably hasn't been given a game due to the 3 Irish provinces being involved. More understandable in the case of the HC, but he could've got the other Amlin semi. He's a better ref than all those.

Dont know if you noticed it or not but there are a few French clubs invovled too and yet there's a French ref.

Only one game not involving a French and Irish team though (which is kind of interesting), so there was just the one game to divvy up between the Irish and French refs. Rolland will almost definitely get the HEC final if its an all French affair.

For me Poite is the best ref, closely followed by Owens. Pearson is grand a bit by the book but far better then the much over hyped Barnes.

Toulouse are F****d  Nigel Owens :( The Official referee of Irish rugby .... Remember an irish team losing under Owens ? I don't :(

You can put your money on Leinster to be in the finale.

Munster lost the semi last year with Owens in charge ;)

is Poite not the clown who reffed Leinster v London Irish earlier this season?

Yep, that's the one. He doesn't believe in offside if I remember correctly

unless its the "in front of the kicker" offside that all French refs are obsessed with.

He doesn't believe in entering through the gate either.

You asked an honest question and I gave you an honest answer, but I see your point Munster have had Owens in the knockouts 5 times and only lost once.
