Part inside gearbox shell breaking?

I am having a bit of a problem with my gearbox currently. there is a small part of the shell inside the gearbox which keeps breaking on me happened twice now. Both times was with systema gearbox shells. Not sure what the part is called but what it dose is prvents the switch slider from going to far back when its pulled by the spring. When it breaks the slider goes too far back hits the sector gear and it can't be pushed forward again by the tigger because the tigger can not grip it properly and thus the gearbox locks up.

I am just wondering dose anybody have or seen this problem before and if they have a solution to preventing the problem?

any comments would be great thanks and i will throw up a few pictures too.

I'd drill a small hole in the gb, and screw in an appropriately sized screw so it was held tightly, bar buying a new gearbox of course.

Sounds like the trigger stop, ive seen it a few times and i usually solve it by stripping out the shell, drilling through where it used to be and stick in a screw from the outside of the shell in it place until its about the same height inside as the original block. then dremel off the remainder of the screw from the outside and make sure its nice and cleanly done. the selector plate can go back on but be sure to test how smooth it is incase the newly installed screw interferes with its operation.

forgot to say too, stick a drop of threadlock on the screw before inserting it so it holds tight, the screw cutting its own thread will help to keep it rock solid in its position. :)
