if it is your first attempt i think you did a grand job well done ,1 think you might do is put a link on the picks so that when you roll over them if you click on them it would take you to a page with all the details about them eg price size ect ,best of luck with the site

Thank you, Yes this is something that i have been trying to sort out but with my limited knowledge of all things technical I can't seem to figure it out. I will try doing this again over the next couple of days thank you for your input and it hurt a lot less than a kick in the head :)

    Way OTT.

Granted the text is a bit ebay, but the site itself is more than adequate. Have you seen the powercity website??

Best of luck with the site sweetdreamsire. You don't have a Barney mural by any chance?

Hi Danois I do agree that the site needs a lot of work and that is going to be happening so I do need the negative feedback (Ok maybe a head kicking is a bit much) as well as the positive if I am to drive this forward. As I said this is only a start so thanks for your comments.

It sounds excellent, thanks very much. :D

Unfortunately our house is only in the process of being built, so we'll be lucky to be in before Christmas. I'll be sure and keep an eye on your site though, especially for Barney stuff!

P.S. Hope I didn't put you under pressure for the discount, what with you only starting the website.:o

P.P.S. Maybe the OP could edit the first post, and highlight the fact that you're giving the discount for boardies?

No problem Soarer. Like you said keep an eye on the site we have so many new murals in the pipeline you will be spoilt for choice by the.

You didn't put me under any pressure seems only fair to give a discount.

    Thanks A Million

Is that 10% on top of the 20% offered on the site? That would mean almost a third off. Plus you might get some nice reviews form boardsies from experience of the product. Maybe a select discount for boardsies at this amount i.e. one third off with a verbal promise of reviews;)

Anyway besides all that: I think it is a great idea. It looks great and I would certainly purchase for my daughter I think she would love it for her room. It looks fantastic and adds another dimension to the room if the room was of the 10*8 size at one wall. Not all places have that size really.

Is it ltd to that size? if so then you might show some walls that are larger with the 10*8 in place, possibly with a border to emphasise it and possibly appeal to a larger market with different room sizes?

Also the website is grand, it needs some work but it puts the idea across well enough, the site will and should evolve with some possible feedback and expense. The idea is excellent, that is the main thing.

If your really looking for some constructive critism of the site then put it up on the Design forum on this site. Also consider the parenting forum for some feedback as an idea to gain information about the potential interest.

I'm not sure though how much this would fall under advertising from the boards policy though. It would be up to the Mods at the end of the day. But in these economic times a start up company should be given some concessions and tolerance I think. Best of luck with a most excellent idea, hope it works for the best for you.

It is good to see a start up with such a potentially good idea in the works.

Oh and PS no pressure and all that, but if you did give a 33% exclusive discount for boardsies then I think this could qualify for the 'parenting bargain alerts', I would throw it up in that respect as I think that would be a bargain I think.

Would you push it up as far as 40% though considering the free advertising that you could get? Plus you would be providing some influential 'networked' parents with a nice product? It's a win win situation when you really think about it... The parenting forum is busy enough;) You could outweigh the cost with the savings on the potentially otherwise v.expensive advertising?

And *Ahemm if the 40% discount was offered I would certainly purchase a select item provided and would indeed offer feedback after receiving the product. Plus I would and could give you feedback and advise website wise as well. Again this is if the Mods find this appropriate.

PM me if your interested, or just give a reply whatever you find most comfortable.

    Hi Deliverance,

Sorry for the delay in replying to your post. Thank you for your imput. I agree that giving a 40% discount would help with advertising this fantastic product but we have decided to keep our margins low on these so as to make it as accesible to as many children as possible. We can however keep the 20% offer open to all boardies but that would be the max we could go to.

All the murals come in the one size only 8ft high by 10 ft wide.

Thanks Again for your feedback it is much appreciated.

    Darren

sweetdreamsire I apologise for my earlier comment I have a kneejerk reaction to bad websites and fair play to you for trying it yourself but if you get a few bob together in the near future I'd recommend getting a bit of a makeover especially the fonts and navigation. You have a good product and best of luck.

Thanks a million for the comments as this is the only way to improve through peoples feedback. Cheers,
