How does a conviction for drink driving in Northern Ireland affect your licence in the South, if you only have an ROI licence.

There's mutual recognition: If you're disqualified from driving in the UK as an Irish resident, you can no longer drive in the UK or Ireland, and vice versa. The UK authorities notify the gardaí, so you will be disqualified from driving here automatically. Same for a Brit who is disqualified from driving here. This policy was implemented from 28 January 2010.
