Any thoughts on this laptop? Its massively reduced and despite the whole vista thing, i really cant see why

Need a new portable laptop(~15" is too bulky for me at this stage) and came across this. Now i know this one is vista, but really, it wouldnt bother me that much despite the reputation, have used vista for a couple of years and never found it to be a bad os tbh, and as well, this laptop should be plenty powerful to run it? Anyways, the likelihood is that i'd upgrade it to windows 7 HP 64bit before too long.

Another thing i noticed is that it does'nt have hdmi but i really cant see when i would use it so thats no loss.

The biggest thing i'd be worried about is the lack of a dvd drive, but is it that bad after all? I could just use an external drive if needs be and i dont think i'd be using it for dvds.

TBH, i would get a 13" macbook pro but the budget simply does'nt allow, and given that this had a rrp of 900£ GBP, it should be an alright PC alternative i guess?

Also looked at this one . Same price and windows 7 but the processor would put me off. As well, for some reason, i've never really liked HP laptops, acer would probably be my favourite make. As well the fact that the acer is so reduced would also pull me towards it! Am i mad not to consider this HP though?

Any opinions or alternatives would be appreciated :)
