    Hi All,
Looking at the cannondale r700 as my entry level racer. Anyone own one of these? Have an opportunity to buy a secondhand 2002 model. Is this comparable to the entry level giants (defy) and specialized models? Anything I should look out for?

    Thanks
    Alan

Nice frame - caad5 I believe. Rides well. 8 years old - you'd want a good deal on it and check that the frame hasn't gone flexy as aluminum has a certain lifespan.

I didn't realise aluminum had a lifespan on bikes...
