The Donaghmede Dash 5k

Just spotted this race coming up. Its on May 23rd at 3pm and is run by Raheny Shamrocks and Dublin city council. A flat, fast 5k around Father collins park. Ill be deffo doing it. I train here all the time!!.:D

Wow, I won't lie, I thought the title was a joke when I first read it. Interesting to see what the take up is like, it's not a particularly attractive place to hold a race.....

Its in the new Father Collins park i dont know if youve seen it but it has a nice 1 mile lap, plus its been run by Raheny Shamrocks so your guaranteed a good event, pity im doing Wicklow Roar the day before

As I said I live locally (and I'm a member of the Shamrocks). Will be knee deep in books by then so I'm not running (espesh not around Fr Collins Park) but I'll try to help out. They should do a steeplechase water hurdle through the water fountain that the locals bathe in - that would be fun!!!!!!!

doing this myself and I reckon it could be very with the 3 laps of the park. looking forward to it though.
