    Hey all,

Was in Budapest for a week. Got back the day before the ash cloud hit :( Wish I could have stayed, such a great town!

I have loads more shots to get through but here are some of my own favorites so far (including some from the Budapest Zoo).

    Comments welcome :)

Great set, really hard to pick out a favourite. Probably the porcupine one, 3 is really nice but the crop is too tight for me. Well done though

I agree about the crop. I was trying my best to eliminate all the surrounding greenery from the frame (This was actually someones headstone!). It was taken in Kerepesi Cemetery, and I would love to go back there with a step ladder and a longer lens as it has some of the most amazing funerary art in the world.

Added a few more pics below. The first two were taken with a G11. Really starting to like that little thing.

I worked over there for a couple of months. Loved it. So much to see and do and the zoo was pretty good. I wish I had a decent camera when I was there.

Hard to pick from your pictures, I like all of them. The mono / B&W in No3 from the first set is super.

Really really love that bird in the number 8, the evil stare is amazing.

A very nice set, well done.

    Really cool sets! :)
Love the sillhouettes and no. 4 in the second set (the colours are lovely!)
    Budapest is a great city!

lovely photos right enough, bird on a wire is great. maybe the headstone could have added something to the porcupine shot? don't know if thats disrespectful or not - maybe:)

stunning pictures though - do you do much post processing? they're all so sharp and vivid colours etc:)

Thanks :) All the PP for these was done in Lightroom so I'm not doing anything too fancy really.

I like to add a lot of contrast, and I'm partial to slightly clipping the blacks. I find that it can add a bit of oomph to the colors, as well as contrast.

I usually decrease the 'Saturation' slider a bit, but I crank the 'Vibrance' up fairly high.
