Am I asking for trouble in jumping ship and going with Meteor? Were the reported 2/3G problems solved with 2.1?

I have it on good authority that the Desire is being launched on o2 very soon...and shouldnt cost more than €200 if you are afraid of meteor's data...

Also Voda are launching it this month i think

I've been using the Desire on Meteor since last thursday without a problem. In Limerick in case the location makes a difference to you.

I thought the issues were resolved with 1.6
Just a pity Meteor shipped the Hero with 1.5

Both of them have terrible value price plans though.

    O2 - O2 Advance 350 (18 Months)

    350 Minutes
    150 Texts
    2GB Data

€60 Per month and phone will cost €159 (Based on HD2 pricing)

Vodafone - Perfect Choice Access Plus 300 (18 Months)

    300 Minutes
    300 Texts
    2GB Data

€60 Per month and phone will probably cost the same

    Meteor - Smart (18 Months/12 Months)
    400 Minutes
    400 Texts
    2GB Data

€50 Per Month and phone costs €139
    12 Months add €5 p/m, No data allowance less €10 p/m

O2 and Vodafone's plans are both poor value.
