A neighbour of my fathers has a 07 2.0 litre non turbo petrol model for about 3 years now and the only problem he had with it was with the front headlamps which Subaru replaced under warranty.

That particular example looks tidy but I would not be gone on that rear wing on the boot myself.

    yeah...

wouldnt touch them with a bargepole. Some very "odd" practices there to say the least. Read the other thread for the main details but suffice it to say i wouldnt advise my worst enemy to spend money there.

I'd have serious reservations about the dealer too. Heard bad things about them outside of the interweb too

Ive tried forum search but the dealer's name contains a 3 letter word (the main identifier) and the search doesnt look for it.

I found it difficult to uncover any info on that shape B4. Plenty of people say they had problems with the previous shape B4 alright, but then again the amount of worn out crap that comes in from Japan that people buy it wouldn't surprise me if people had problems with the most reliable of cars.
What's the bhp of those? Older B4's had a 2.5 twin turbo. I think that model is a single turbo isn't it? If that's the case then it should be the same engine as the pervious shape Impreza, before they changed the STI to a 2.5.
They're nice alright. There's a mint 3 litre Irish one somewhere too.

Just re-reading the threads - makes for some interesting reading! Certainly would put me off buying there!
