Best bet is to try and get to a Retailer and get the feel of a few of 'em.
Sidearm is really a personal choice and better to try them out first.

Depends what look you want. I have three 1911's - I had Glock 17,18C and 26 in the past. As I say,It depends on what look you like, This handgun is for skirmishing ? or are you a collector ??

I can recommend a Sig P229 got one a few weeks ago and its compact and works great as a secondary back up.

I would agree with Hitman though its good to see them before you make up your mind

Well its really up to yourself, they're all more or less the same thing in a different shell. I'd say Glock 17, but hey that's because I love Glock's.
