Hello just would like to know is there any easy way of preventing a website directing you to the mobile version while browsing with safari?

It's not Safari that is redirecting you. It's the site itself. I'm not sure there's any way around this, as the site can detect what browser you are using, but if there is I'd like to know as well.

Just download Opera Mini from the App Store and theres options wheter to go automatically to the Mobile site or not. Lots of different settings; much better than the Safari explorer installed! Works a treat on my ipod touch :)

If your on Safari go to Google the type in the site you want and click search. Beside the link of the website there should be a little 'options' dropdown box - you can access the site normally or mobile format there. Thats what I usually do if it bothers me but I don't use Safari anymore as Opera does it all for me :)

And I was planning to delete Opera Mini. Guess I have a reason to hang on to it now.
