    Hi all,
I have a LWB 120 Landcruiser, that is a commercial model.
Im interested in putting a dog guard from the passenger model into it to divide up the back. The Guard attaches up top at the handles from the roof, but the bottom attaches to the Cargo rings on the bottom, Im wondering are these still under the carpet, or are they welded up? If anyone has any info id love to know!
    Thanks in advance....

Eh? Why not just lift the carpet and find out? Can't be that hard.

I was hoping someone would know without me having to uproot the carpet, as it is glued down, and runs in under the side panels.
Ultimately I will have to do that if I don't find out from someone else, but I was hoping someone knowledgeable out there would know already!

If it has been converted into a commercial there will be a galv plate over the passenger footwell in the back. You will have to fit the bottom to the galv plate, easy enough some galv band and tek screws and you will be OK.

That would work if I wanted to put it behind the front row of seats, but I would like to put it behind the second row of seats (Which are no longer there) to divide up the back of the Landcruiser.
Thanks for your help so far though.

would depend on whether the Land Cruiser was a 5 or 7 seat version to start with. is it an Irish or UK spec one and has it always been a commercial?

It wont fit, the floor your seeing at the moment is a false one constucted during the conversion. The cargo rings you are looking for are under this false floor, to get at them you will have to pull up the floor. (presuming you have a properly converted jeep)

Just get a generic dog gaurd that you can extend with add on packs

Do you want this permanent, or is it something you'll put in or take out depending on need?

Will you be keeping really heavy stuff behind the dog guard (air tanks maybe?) or it is just to compartmentalise stuff?

If it's permanent and you need something heavy duty, you'd be better off getting a professional van fit out company to fabricate a heavy duty mesh bulkhead.

    Thanks lads,
Yes it has always been commercial.
I presume it was the 5 seat version. How would I find out?
The Vehicle has always been registered in Ireland.
Thanks for the advice, I want it to store heavy dive gear in the back, and need it to be stronger than just a plain dog guard.

yes, thats exactly what I want it for, I don't fancy them all rushing forward at 100kmph if I ever did have an accident.
Have you any recommendations on a Van fit out company? Nearerto Galway the better.

some people import LC5 8 seaters from the UK and convert them. they would have things like leather, satnav etc. if it's Irish then it'd be a 5 seat. would be a right pain installing it with the floor in the way. as prev suggested a custom fabricated one would be better.

I get all that sort of stuff done in Dublin, and the only company out that way I've heard of that might be able to do it are http://www.quinnrv.com/. Specialists in refrigerated bodies, but if they can put that toghether, I'm sure someone there can weld together a few bits of metal and mesh to fabricate something.

Do you have any sort of bulkhead in it at all? I wouldn't be carrying dive tanks without a bulkhead. I've seen what happens to a van when it declerates rapidly from about 100km/h. The 1 foot dent in the bulkhead that gave the driver a bit of a headache really told a story. Without the bulkhead he certainly wouldn't have been around to order another van.

I have only a tiny bulkhead at the moment, so I try limit what I carry in the back. Thats why Im on the look out for something more secure. Thanks for your help.

Anyone know what the floor is made of? How secure it would be attaching bolts to it etc.?
