HI, was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat. I am currently on a variable rate of 2.95% but with banks increasing variable rates i want to fix my mortgage. I have an option to lock in at a fixed rate of 3.6% for 3 years or 4.25% for 5 years. the rates are going to continue going up as bank of ireland have increased their fixed rates along with variable. would you be inclined to fix at 3.6% or 4.25% would appreciate any recommendation or input you may have.
