St Annes Park Golf Course

Has anybody any info on the golf course in St Annes in Clontarf? The only up-to-date info I could find online was an aerial view on google maps! I know it's a par 3, but was wondering if it was worth chancing when you haven't got the time for a proper round - and how much it costs?

    Cheers for any help.

thanks conno16 but i actually started the thread to find out information on the course in St Annes park more so than your knowledge of public amenities in the Clontarf area!

    St Annes Links..

    Not what you'd call a par 3 course :p

Yeah I think that might be why I'm having trouble googling it! That and DCC not exactly being fantastic on the whole internet thing... http://www.dublincity.ie/recreationandculture/dublincityparks/visitapark/pages/stannespark.aspx
    Lovely park though!

There is a pitch & putt course close to the rose garden in st annes park. Never played it so can't comment. St annes golf club is on bull island.

The golf club on Bull island is a different place entirely to what I remember as a pitch and putt course in the park. I read online that they were upgrading it, but I haven't been in years. Entrance is beside the tennis courts.

Yeah that's the one I was one about - saw it over the weekend when wandering around the park and google was calling it a par 3 golf course, was hoping it was a bit longer than a pitch and putt course. Read that about the upgrade, thought it'd be a handy spot when you don't have enough time for a full round.

It a 12-hole pitch and putt rather than a proper par 3 course, but it does have a few holes that are about 100-120 yards or so. I usually brought a 9, SW and putter when I lived in Clontarf. It's nothing special but it's grand for hitting a few balls and practicing your shortgame if you don't have time for "real" golf. Cheap as well, only about 5 euro if I remember correctly.

    Bunker has it right.
I bring my kids down there sometimes and its a nice little walk around. Nothing special but a lot more "golfy" than the usual windswept converted paddock.

Yeh its 18 holes now. Still the same low price though. I think its €4.50 for a round. Great value in fairness. I've heard the 6 new holes are very good too!
