Netgear router & Huawei modem

I have mobile broadband with ‘3’ Broadband. My connection is fine everywhere except in my house. The signal is good in the attic, outside and in my neighbour’s house. I am looking to buy a router that I could place in the attic (where the strongest signal is) and plug my 3 Broadband modem (a USB Huawei E160G) into. The router would then send the signal around the house. I rang Netgear who recommended their MBRN3000 mobile broadband router. They said to be sure that my modem is compatible with their router. I rang Huawei who were useless. The guy on the phone didn’t know what I was talking about.
Does anyone out there know if the Huawei E160G modem is compatible with Netgear’s MBRN3000 mobile broadband router? I’d be grateful for any advice.

    Seamus

I'm surprised that netgear couldn't furnish you with a list of compatible modems to be honest. I have an edimax router and they have a list of compatible modems.

It's weird that they directed you to Huawei.
