I'll sell you cloud insurance if you want. €500 quid a year if your male and €300 a year if your female. It's more for young people though, especially lads.

I'm doing a great deal on 2012 insurance. It's only €50 and if the world ends in 2012 it pays out €1,000,000,000,000 (That's 1 trillion or 1 billion depending on the billion thread).

It's the offer of a lifetime and only available to a very select few so act now.

I think it should be dearer for women. Them being air heads and having their head in the clouds half the time anyway. :pac:

    Funny you mention that,
That wacky Icelandic volcano ash is not only mucking up Europes skies and screwed up travel plans worldwide, it's also clouding the morals of travel insurance policy issuers, which are refusing to cover new claims brought on by the disaster, the Wall Street Journal reports. From the WSJ blog post:

As of April 13, travel insurance policies generally stopped covering the disruption that resulted from the ash cloud from Iceland. It’s called the theory of the burning house. If your house is ablaze, you can’t go out and quickly buy homeowners coverage. In travel, as soon as a storm or event is known, you can buy all the insurance you want but it won’t cover those “known’’ events. Once a hurricane is named, most policies won’t cover it if the insurance was sold after the moment the storm was identified.
“In general, travel insurance policies don’t cover events related to natural disasters that are in progress or that have just happened. Even an approaching hurricane wouldn’t be covered if officials have already given it a name,” said Chris Harvey, chief executive of Squaremouth.com, a travel insurance comparison site.

Meaning if you had insurance before the eruption, you're grand. As of the 13th though, new policies are likely to be exempt from any coverage due to this incident. Or for example if a Hurricane got named yesterday, you could buy travel insurance, but it would not cover that particular hurricane, but would cover subsequent hurricanes that fell within your policy timeframe.
