Looking for a reasonable hotel/hostel for Paris for May but all the ones within my price range seem to be tiny or tatty. Anyone know a good site or even Hotel I could see?

    TIA

    What is your price range?

I found the Monte Carlo hotel to be decent. Nice clean rooms, not too small (by paris sizes) and only a 1 minute from the metro or a 20 minute stroll to the Lourve/riverbank

That looks really good actually. Will look into this one. Thanks a lot!

The Crillion is absoloutly lovely. It's at Place du Concorde and 5 minute walk to the Champs Elysees. It might be a bit over budget, but worth it.

Hotel de Crillon is mega expensive!

I've stayed in Hotel Riviera last summer and am staying there again this summer. Great location and only €86 a night... It is 300m from l'Arc de triomphe... The rooms are small but I would note describe them as teeny tiny... My father is staying there in May for 5 nights and My mother is staying there in June too... Cannot fault the location! And the metro is just right by...

And try the Accor Group too. Ibis Gare de Lyon Diderot 13eme have nice sized rooms too and are just across from gare de lyon. http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/hotel-3211-ibis-paris-gare-de-lyon-diderot-12eme/index.shtml

Mercure Paris Royal Madeleine is also a very nice hotel which I have stayed in too. http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/hotel-1271-mercure-paris-royal-madeleine/room.shtml

I always use booking.com for my hotels.

In Paris last month I stayed at Hotel Camelia Prestige, the rooms were small but nice and comfortable, it's just a few minutes walk from a metro station with several lines running through it, and is also near a supermarket and the Pere Lachaise cemetary if you're heading there.

A double room was 70 euros a night through booking.com, I'm not sure if the hotel's own website charges higher rates, often they do.

Try Hotel Moliére on Rue Moliére - just off avenue Opera and behind the Comedie Francaise. Central, clean, quiet and quite reasonable for such a central location.
