    Hey,

I need a bike for getting around the city during work, also I am doing the conemara adventure (15k as part of a 26k journey) and I will need a bike then.

I am self employed so I can claim the purchase, so I was wondering where is the best place for me to buy a bike? I want to get the best deal possible, as with everyone, funds are tight!

    Thanks!

When you say you are self-employed, do you work for your own company (ie a separate legal entity, in which case the scheme can be used) or are you a sole trader (in which case it cannot)?

Ah, Sole Trader.... So there is no way of doing it?

Unfortunately not - you need to be a PAYE employee (and the costs of incorporating your business will far outweigh any benefits from the scheme)
