hi all, my ipod finally died after just under 5 years of being battered around the place (think it was this model M9830LL/A 60GB (Color). its basically matting a strange noise and has a web address to contact apple upon the screen. Now at the min i could do with a new phone so im thinking should i go with an iphone and double it up as an ipod also? i basically use the ipod in the car for about 2 hrs a day, would this kill the battery life of the phone? how long do they last either way?
or alternatively should i get a new ipod and a new phone seperately? can the i phone play back videos and audio like the newer ipods?
thanks for the advice in advance

The iPhone is an iPod Touch with a phone built in. 2 hours of iPod use will put a big dent in your battery usage, but just hook it up to a car charger. I was the same, iPod Touch, and a phone - best decision I ever made to get an iPhone.
