Are snots a food group?

Driving to work most morning or at lunch, i tend to sometimes glance at the overtaking car, or the car comming toward me. At least twice a week i see someone, sometimes men, other times women - feasting on a freshly plucked bugger. Now personally i have a little more sophisticated palette and snot is not on my diet.

Im just wondering why people feel the need to cannibalize themselves.

    Do you do it?

Its worthy of discussion over there

I think that "food group" idea has been widely discredited. Even so, snots don't have much nutritional value and probably run into negative calories.

You're right there's no need to eat them.If you're unsure what to do with snot just remember "pick it,lick it,roll it,flick it".

I think snots are like natures answer to these overpriced bifidus stupididus activel drinks which are sold to stupid women in supermarkets. Whenever your body needs a bit of bacteria or culture in the gut the natural thing to do is have a good poke around and eat the proceeds.

I think eating snots is disgusting...but then, I bite my fingernails and chew on em for a while, a sort of self-produced chewing gum if you will, so thats probably gross too to some people.

There is a world of dirty things under your nails even if you wash your hands alot.
