Saw Nationwide on RTE tonight. They did a peice on Foregolf. It looked the job. Has anyone had their clubs fitted by them. How did you get on with them? Was it expensive? Was it worth it ?

Was I dreamin', or did they say something about them winning a worldwide award for club fitting?

Had to check it out after reading the OP.

    16.40 onwards... :)

Actually was exchanging a few emails with Dave Williams a couple of weeks ago about various putter grips and also to de-loft my Mizuno Fli Hi Iron. Very helpful must say and will certainly be going there to get my new irons custom fitted later this year.

    Nope, you weren't dreaming.

I'm on the verge of buying myself an entire new set of clubs.
I don't have a handicap but am filling out some cards and will get one soon, I'll probably be around 20.
I'm just wondering if it's worth my while getting fitted (at foregolf) at my level,as my swing wouldn't be totally consistent.
Maybe I should buy from McGuirks/American Golf/Halpenny and make do with their basic club fitting, and wait til I get down to a 14 or 15 handicap in a few years (hopefully) before I venture towards Foregolf....or is that the wrong idea???

    Zak.

    Zak flaps.

Are you having lessons? If you plan to have lessons soon then I would say no don't get fitted yet. If you are self taught and have no intention of getting fitted they I would say go and get fitted.

I am currently off 11 have all my equipment semi fitted but not to the levels I would expect to get from Foregolf. I started with a new coach in January who put me on a new club ban as we are making subtle changes to my swing shape and speed. I am visiting him again this week and will discover if all my hard work has resulted in a more repeatable faster swing, if it has I will be looking to have my set tuned, shafts probably.

But there is always the Chicken and the egg theory, would you be better starting with fitted clubs? I think Foregolf claim they can save most players 4 shots. Best thing I can suggest is call them and take there advice, ask if you get fitted now and make some major improvements would they tweak the set for you at a later date for a better price.

Hi Stedbed. I did get some lessons before Xmas and intend to get some more in the future. I will be getting a lesson in the next couple of weeks, maybe I'll ask the pro is it wise to get them fitted just yet. Thanks.
