    Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help me. I can't find the right shoe colour to go with my bridesmaids' dresses and I'm thinking of dyeing ivory coloured shoes. Has anyone ever done this and how do I go about it? I asked in a shoe shop today and got no help.

    Thanks.

you could try Dylon Shoe & Accessories, they come in a range of colours but it would depend on what material you are dyeing too. an ivory colour will be easy to dye but not if its an awkward fabric like suede... Which I'm thinking your bm's shoes aren't!! :D You can get them in Hickeys and sometimes arts abd crafts stores stock it, but your best bet is fabric shops.

For a better selection of colours you could try Tulip® Soft Fabric Paint™, you paint this on though. There are shoe dyeing services available online if you google it, and then there's Fabric spray Paint which might do...

    Good luck with it :D

Hi - I am getting mine from Rainbow. You must order them through a bridal shop though. I are getting the shoes (which are super comfy) for the bridesmaids covered in the same colour as the dress (burnt orange) and it takes 4-6 weeks and the cost is about €90 per shoe. I know it sounds exp for shoes , the bridesmaids have offered to pay for them, they both wanted style and comfort (like myself!) and we looked at all options, including dying them ourselves and this was the best option - best of luck!

My dad is a carpenter, and I had a pair of beautiful black heels the day before the wedding ( could not find htre shoe I was looking for ) He sprayed them with what he would normally have used for kitchen cabinet doors!!! They were a silky kind of material so they took very well. Nobody noticed ans they lasted for months!! Also as they were under the dress, noone even saw them!!

you could try the flower shop in ratoath, she sells, dyes and customises wedding shoes and will dye other shoes for €20 a pair. I got mine done and was delighted.

    :) Hi Murphymad,
Just saw your notice. Try The cobbler Leather Shop in Cork. I know they professionally dye satin shoes and bags to match any colour
