recover bail money

Hello. Do you need to take any action to recover bail money, or should it be refunded automatically? If the latter, how long should it take, and in what form is it delivered? Is it returned to the person who paid it or to the accused, if they are different? Thanks

Apparently it is posted out to the accused soon after the case is dealt with.
Who do you contact if the it is not received, due to being sent to an incorrect address?
