There have been some cracking sequel names, some of the movies may have been rubbish but you gotta love the titles.

    Speed 2: Cruise Control
It can be used after nearly anything eg. Bambie 2: Cruise Control, it just works.

    Die Hard 2: Die Harder
    Just a legendary sequel title.

The original title for the third Jaws movie was Jaws 3-People 0 (it was to be made as a National Lampoon spoof at one stage) that would have easily been the greatest movie title ever

    Best ever...?

    The Gingerdead Man

The Gingerdead Man 2 : The Passion Of The Crust
    (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1161646/)

    Live Free or Die Hard

I wish we got that title over here instead of Die Hard 4.0

Love it, looks like awful tripe but fair play to the naming committee on this one.

I thought I was the only one to love that Pro-American title! It's so awesomely cheesy. I do love the simplicity (and sense made by) Aliens.

    Dawn of the Dead
    is an awesome sequel title.

As is Star Trek II : The Wrath of Kahn (KAAAHHHHN!)

The Empire Strikes Back - plain, simple, exactly what it says on the tin.

Rocky Balboa - I like the simplicity of this. the movie was more about the man than the legend.

    +1 on Live Free though

John Rambo - Simple cuz you knew exactly what you were going in for! :D

Aliens - Pretty self-explanatory, more of the fùckers!

    ha ha ha classic!!! :D

I think The Dark Knight as a sequel title works because the title alone is a forewarning to the sombre story, and it also compliments the origin story and title Batman Begins.

Dunno really about "Live Fast, Die Hard" - I quite liked the title "Die Hard WITH A VENGEANCE"

Other good (and so bad they're good) sequel names:

Naked Gun 2½ and 33 1/3 (taking the p*ss out of the sequel naming convention)
Terminator 2: Judgment Day (does exactly what it says on the tin)
The Bourne Ultimatum (sort of says "this is it,.. it ends here.. tonight")
Jackass: Number Two (AH HA HA HA THEY MADE A TOILET REFERENCE!!!... yeah.)
Crank: High Voltage (Bonkers. Just bonkers.)
Alvin And The Chipmunks: The Squeakuel (Laugh? I nearly shat a kitten!)

28 Weeks Later, 28 Months Later.
    ID4-Ever (If it happens)
    Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome
    The Road Warrior
    For a Few Dollars More
Naked Gun 33⅓: The Final Insult
Once Upon a Time in Mexico
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me
Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan :D

The sequel to "Dude, Where's My Car?" was to be called "SERIOUSLY, Dude! Where's My Car?!" ... seriously.

One that slightly perplexed me was Scooby-Doo 2: The Mystery Begins. If the Mystery starts in the sequel, what the heck was the first film about?

Some I did like include Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde; Babe: Pig in the City; For A Few Dollars More.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

Has Airplane II: The Sequel been mentioned yet? I don't think I saw it, but this thread was a bit listy for my tastes.
