Work Placement Programme (WPP) - FAS

I am interested in doing a Pitman course and I read on the internet that FAS fund up to 60% for some Pitman courses. I've just had an appointment with FAS and they confirmed that this funding is only for people claiming a Social Welfare payment. They gave me a few other options which are not great, one of them is WPP (Work Placement Programme), a nine month unpaid contract with some companies, you get the experience but no wages, it's a good idea for school leavers, I am far from a school leaver!

Does anybody know where I can find out what companies take part in this Work Placement Programme with FAS? If I can get the experience I might not need to do the course at all and it would save me a lot of money! Thanks.

If you go to the FAS website and go look under Jobseeker, and click on all the look for a job links, you'll come across Work Placement Programmes.

Or to make it a bit easier - if you're a graduate click here

    If not click here

As far as I know there is no way of finding just a list of places that offer it. But through the website you can search by your area, or location etc to find something suitable.
