Things will never change in this country as long as the State is handing out my and other workers taxes to the unemployed pyjama smelly people who are too lazy to dress themselves when picking up their children from school and shopping in the local shops in the city centre with the creases all over their clothes after falling out of bed. Their husbands beside them overdosed on drugs, not knowing where they are or who they are and the rest of the pot bellied unemployed laughing all the way to the pub. Only when the money stops and we have a revolution will this change...This country is a joke...and the joke is on the workers of this land.....

About a year ago i got lunch in a bagel bar followed by a smoothie in a juice bar. An irish person served me in the bagel bar with a scowl that would change water to vinegar. In the juice bar was a polish girl who was beautiful, friendly and polite. Guess which one i would rather go back to?

On another note though, it used to be a case of one of the best places to get directions from was a shop, now though... QUEH???

tbf it affects both foreign and irish shop assistants. (poor attitude, no customer service skills) but the thing is it tends to be mainly foreigners employed in these roles due to the low level of pay. Hence the DEY TUK AR JOOOOBS like posting

It's to do with the ****ty attitude the most Irish have towards the service industry, just becasue they are paying for something a lot of Irish think they can treat people what ever way they want. a prime example is "The customer is always right", most people who state this a usually wrong.

take a second to think about what its like to live and work in country where you dont speak the language and is very different socially and economically from your home country.... Just as the Irish treat the "non nationals" in Ireland like dirt, Irish people who move to a different country are treated exactly the same....

a prime example being idiot customers who DEMAND their legal right to a refund, sans reciept/proof of purchase, to a refund when they have changed their mind!

lets take a second to think about the irish emigrants who move to a different country and claim social welfare thats higher than the average wage in ireland. Oh no , thats only true of foreingers that move here!

You've obviously got trouble with your chat-up technique if nice Polish birds only give you a wedgie.

I nearly always get a smile from any foreign staff, I give a smile, please and thank you to them and have never really had any grief. Maybe your just ugly and rude op?

I've had people say this to me in work and I've replied politely "Well, I'm sorry, but in this instance, you are wrong." :)
