Remove Irish card, power cycle the box (unplug from wall). When it starts up you should have the english EPG

Should work. There was an older method that made you go to Sky news, turn card upside down, etc, but I dont think thats required now....unless its a really old box?
    Go 501 Sky news.
Press Red, wait for Interactive to have loaded.
Turn card upside down or insert dummy card. Make sure pushed right in to activate "card in/out" switch at end of slot.
    Press backup to exit Interactive,
    The UK EPG will load.

The box might also be faulty!

Does the box have a direct feed from the LNB/Dish? What the signal strength and quality?

Perhaps some of the experts on here can help ya! I did the first method I suggested over the weekend to demonstrate to a friend what their EPG would look like and it worked no problem.

I also know people on here had problems with this because they didnt have good satellite connections or in some cases weren't connected at all...

I know, sure I've used that method many times to demo to people. I have also installed numerous sky boxes like this and never had this prob before.

Maybe as you saif, some of the experts can help.

    Thanks for your help

I have a very old Sky box, Grundig, and cant get the English EPG on it, have tried the reboot turn card upside down, and also dont have channel 501 so cant try that one. I can get all the usual channels thru the extra channels but would be nice to get 'em on the epg.

    Any ideas?

Thats neat worked a treat I can record the uk channels as well using sky + but if I set to record a programme in the future it wont do it. Is there any way round this.
