    Hi,
I hope this is posted in the correct forum... I am having a great deal of trouble finding a supplier of
    high grade neoprene rubber rolls/sheets.
Other specs are 1/2" thick or slightly thicker
    80 durometer
    density of 180kg/m^3 (approx)
    weight of 2.4kg/m^2. (approx)

The rubber will be used in a floating floor structure of a live recording room in a studio....

If anyone knows where i might get my hands on this stuff I'd really appreciate the info

    Thanks

I've purchased materials from this company, although they are in the US:

    Another company closer to home:

Heh Hallymusic. just wondering if you are using the neoprene mentioned here as sound proofing and how you faired with it?
looking to put it into a house and garage where i hope to practice a lot of music without getting the others miffed!

    Hi,
The live tracking room is completed and the sound attenuation results are amazing. Standing outside the door with a drummer playing very loud I hear a very very low muffle. Ten feet away in the next room I can't hear a thing, so I'm very happy. Bear in mind my inner leaf walls, floor (floating floor over concrete) and ceiling are composed of 1 layer of 18mm mdf and 2 layers of 15mm plasterboard and its a room within a room construction. I ended up getting the neoprene from radionics in Dublin, u can buy online and get it delivered to ur house. Floating floors are not for the faint hearted and are not cheap, there are alot of calculations to be done to achieve the right amount of compression on the neoprene. If u need me to give u some links or advise on how to build these floors correctly, let me know. If not done correctly u will will have wasted ur money. There are also other options depending on what material ur sub floor is...

    Best of luck

    Heh Hally

appriciate the load down on what you did and would appriciate the links and advise you mentioned. i suppose we will not be looking at the level you speak of but a happy cost/ quality medium.
with the type of solid concrete construction we have we will probably have to get floating floors anyway.

    thanks for the help
