Fedora Wireless connect timeout

Ok, got my old PC setup for studying a bit of Fedora 12, LiveUSB didn't boot but LiveCD installed fine, clean install and everything.
Now the problems start, wireless connected fine from the Mint LiveUSB but had the same problem with Fedora LiveCD.

I can see my AP listed, click on it, asks for the WPA key and I enter it, then the icon in the bar spins, one light goes green, then the 2nd, then it spins some more, then it times out.
So I did a tail -f /var/log/messages to see what was up:

Try going into your network settings and edit your network card, click on IPv4 settings and change the method to Automatic (DHCP) address only then put your dns addresses in with a comma between the primary and secondary. You have no DNS set so you wont be able to get WWW pages.
With Fedora 12 the PC sets itself up with DHCP and DNS as I recall but your router is probably trying to do the same. Copy the settings in your router to your PC and try again.

When you say network card you mean Wireless card? As in select Wireless tab in Network Connections, then my router connection, then Edit and you get a window with the IP4 tab and change Automatic (DHCP) address only as an option?

Also where do I find the two DNS addresses, I couldn't see anything obvious in the router configuration, would the two ones from ipconfig /all in Windows do?

Edit: Well, that didn't make it work anyway, still times out as above. :/
I googled and Fedoras DNS Servers are in /etc/resolv.conf
When I did cat /etc/resolv.conf I think I created it because it was blank, is that right?

Man I suck at the network stuff beyond connecting a cable or typing in WPA keys to connect.
