Garden Hose needs some umph!

Hi there,

I have a problem with the pressure to my garden hose. It cant seem to get good pressure up. It is directly connected to the garden tap that is connected to the mains pipe into the house. Is there anything I can get that could boost the flow? I don't need it to have the power of a pressure washer just something a little stronger than what it is at the moment. Any ideas? Alpha.

If your natural water pressure is not sufficient some pumping device will be required. You will need a power hose im afraid. You could use a narrow plastic pipe which would increase pressure ( reduce flow ) but you would have to fashion an adapter for the tap.

If your mains isnt delivering the water then you cant really boost the pressure.

Could you get a storage tank from somewhere to store water then pur a cheap pump on to it? I bought a cheap pump over the internet from a place called Machine Mart in the UK, only cost £25.00 but lasted about 10 years and was great for watering the garden from a storage tank. Have a look see if they are still going.

Do they have a good output? This one does 5200 Litres an hour, not sure what a normal tap does.
