    Hi

Im just wondering what content would be involved in a Cpyright Report and what i should include when writing one?

I've crawled google and come up with no examples. Any tips? What headings would be in the meat and two veg of one?

    Cheers!

As you may have guessed from the silence that greeted your question, a "copyright report" is not a phrase that has any well recognised meaning.

It's possible that there is a need for a report on who owns the copyright in each document or each class of document being hosted - a sort of due diligence to provide reassurance that you ahve the rights to host the documents.

It's also possible that the report is meant to address the controls on uploading documents to and downloading documents from the system, since any such act of uploading or downloading of a document in which there is copyright, would be an infringement if carried out without the licence of the copyright holder.

The report could address issues like the terms and conditions under which documents are uploaded and downloaded (e.g. if anyone can upload files, what measures are in place to prevent someone from uploading a file for which they have no permission ... what restrictions are put in place regarding the right of downloaders to pass the file on to others etc.), the access controls, if any, which may be put in place to prevent unauthorised access, etc.

To be honest, because there could be lots of copyright issues depending on what the documents are, who wrote them, who can access them, and so on. As such the easiest way to find out what should go into this report may simply be to ask the person who asked that it be written.
