Toshiba Laptop Replacement

    Hello folks,

A friend of mine bought a brand new Toshiba laptop for €1200 less than 3 weeks ago.

When she opened the laptop this morning the screen was cracked. She complained to the shop where she bought it but got no satisfaction. They will not replace it and said it was accidential damage. They said they would pick it up next Thursday and send it to be repaired but she needs a laptop for college. Toshiba says its up to the manager of the store but basically the manager is saying she broke it herself.

From looking on google I see that Toshiba have had issues with screens cracking due to a manufacture fault.

Is there anything she can do to get a replacement or is a repair all she will be entitled to.

    Thanks
