taken from a drum forum - nothing to do with me - but id like to hear what the pros think - to me the guitars and toms overpower everything too much
and the snare kick/ bass are drowned.
the vocal is buried in the overall mayhem.

Guitars are too loud indeed a little reverb/stereo spacing will help, the sound of the guitars itself it's good.

the snare lack of definition especially the top and mids, kick will need a bit of attack/snap say around 6KHz.

cymbals are bad too thin sometimes you can here a gate opening possibly on OH or snare.

    I like the vox.

I just had a look at their myspace page. They look very young. Just from listening first they sounded like an older more experienced band (that's a compliment:D)

They can certainly play their instruments. For me, the first song was very good but I couldn't hear the bass very clearly at the begining. The part where the drums were flooded in reverb was interesting but the vocals at that point seemed to stay in the same place.

    Good stuff.

    Liking it :)

IN forever its a pity the guitar is out just after 1st chorus when he comes back in chunking, just throws my ears a bit :(

I dont find the guitars to over the top as I listen to alot of stuff like this....

Ideal album to reference here would be kids in glass houses, maybe tracks fisticuffs / easy tiger / give me what I want....

didnt listen to 1st track yet :)

Poss snare a bit of messing with transient touch more attack and widening, its just a bit BOP in the track just a bit more width would be nice maybe?!?

The vocals are sounding a touch to pretty, maybe a bit of clipping, low fi, pod farm vocal stuff might be nice in places?

track one the acoustic guitar sounds a touch out of place from everything else, for me I would of gone bigger?!?

Just ideas... :) im liking it though they both sound PHAT :D
