Just dug this radio out of a drawer, sitting there for 15 odd years, bought about 1982,

Want to get it moving again, DC in 9V. Is this easy to get, mains adapter?
    Cheers.

I doubt if you will be getting much use out of this; would batteries not do for the time being?

Mains adaptors are very easy to get. You can get a switchable (multi-voltage) model for 10 or 12 euros in Argos or most hardware / electrical shops. Even saw them in Pound Shops.

Cool. I love old radios and Sonys are so good.

I've a Sony ICF2001D which I use for SW DXing and it's great. It's a hand-me-down from my late dad who bought it when he worked in the Middle East years ago to get the BBC World Service and when I wondered at it's weight and the funny rustling noise when he brought it back, I decided to open it and - guess what? Yes, almost talcum powder-like sand was infesting it. Still works grand though.

Yeah, I was in the Middle East when I bought it too. Saudi.

Lucky beggars get the best radios, and cheaper.
