    hi all,
my friend is stuck in budapest since the volcanic ash disrupted her flight. she's booked a flight for tomorrow but it's likely to be canceled as well. exams start next friday, and what would be the story if she missed them due to the ash? would she have to repeat in autumn or could she do them on a different date? would she need to get a deferral letter sent into the college?
i'm going to ask in the student contact center tomorrow anyway, but just wondering has anyone already asked?

    thanks,
    whiteman19

They will get a deferral till august. So she will be doing the exam at the same time as the repeats, but she will not have to pay for it

As far as i know she would need to contact the head of the department, possibly provide proof (Scan of plane ticket i suppose would do it).
