What were the wrestling angles you totally believed when you were young?

I remember Nailz beating the tar out of the Boss Man after weeks of those creepy vignettes from prison. I remember myself and the brother being aghast at the beating he gave him.

Also Earthquake sitting on Damian the Snake upset me greatly.

I really believed Papa Shango had voodoo powers when he made the Ultimtae Warrior sweat green goo.

    - Jake Roberts cobra biting Savage.

I loved this as a kid, probably my favourite angle from my childhood.

I was also a big fan of when Taker and Flair attacked Hogan, and stuffed him in the casket on The Funeral Parlor show (I think that's what it was called).

I also thought Shawn Michaes was spelt "Sean" and that there was a possibility he had Irish blood in him for quite some time.

The whole Hogan/Undertaker thing and when Flair interfered in the match, I was nearly in tears at the end. "Hah, don't worry, Hulk will get up..Hulk?" :(

Randy Savage rupturing Steamboats voicebox after an elbow with the ringbell. Thought he was the most evil man of all time.

Everything the Undertaker did scared the **** out of me.

The ministry of darkness stuff really had me ****ting it even though I was old enough to know better.

100% agree with the nailz and papa shango ones.

I really bought into Owen hating Bret in that whole angle with Owen getting his ma to throw in the towel. I really despised Owen at that stage and couldn't imagine anyone hating his brother so much.

I really hated Shawn Michaels when he super kicked Jannetty through the barber shop window.

When Austin got run over I really thought that was real. I also thought that Shane had legitimately bought WCW. Maybe he should have.

HBK did not super kick Marty Jannetty through the barber shop window no matter how many times WWE tells you. ;) He should have but no.

The Shango/Warrior angles were terrifying! The talk of my school playground anyways.

Jake's cobra biting Savage was another that made us quiver as young uns... I could not believe he wasn't dead.

The Mountie was another one when he first came in.... jeebers that cattle prod was upsetting.
Also, absolutely everything and anything to do with Macho/Elizabeth and Hogan was completely real to me.

Funnily enough, I remember reading that the stunt actually went a bit wrong. The snake didn't have venom, of course, but it bit into Macho Man a bit too eagerly and did some muscle damage. That's why (in the clip earlier in the thread) you see a chap running down pretty urgently to ringside before backing off when Jake pulls the snake away, and why Jake kept the snake well away from Savage later.

But yeah, I believed that angle so much. And that Sid was actually a bit of a psycho. WM 8-10 were my years of being totally credulous yet able to follow everything.
